The holidays are fast approaching and I'm sure you have some people that are still on your list to buy for. As we get older, finding presents can be hard, but I've put together a little guide so you can knock the fitness lovers off your list. In this guide you will find budget friendly equipment that can be used at home. As the world continues to restrict gym access, it is important that those you love have some equipment at home so they can continue their fitness routine.
*** I am not an affiliate for any of these companies. All product images have come from their respective websites.
1) Power Systems Resistance Loops
These are actually on my list this year. I used them at a gym I was a member of and fell in love with them. What I like most about them is that they don't slide up my legs while wearing leggings. I have a pair of fabric resistance loops that inch their way up as I workout. These are a rubber material and they come in six different weights. Each loop can be purchased individually, or they can be purchased as a set. Don't worry about breaking the budget, because the whole kit costs $20. Go to the Power Systems website to purchase these loops.
2) SunPow Pull Up Resistance Bands
The brand that I recommend is currently out of stock, so here is another brand I found that is cost effective. For forty dollars on Amazon, you can gift your fitness lover a full set of pull up resistance bands. These aren't just used for pulls up, though. Almost any exercise can be done using bands like these. The fitness lover in your life will be appreciative that they have a full set and it takes up minimal storage. Personally, I like this set because they are vibrant colors. Grab them here.
3) Nordic Track Adjustable Dumbbells
Dumbbells are expensive, and they take up a lot of storage space. Nordic Track put out a set of adjustable dumbbells that have a maximum weight of 25 pounds. Most sets I have seen are $300- $500, so these are kind of a steal. They are decently priced at $90 per dumbbell and word on the street is you get $10 Kohl's cash when you purchase them. They will ship right to you for free. Pick them up on Kohls.com.
4) Spri Gravity Trainer
This piece of equipment is an absolute game changer for bodyweight training. It is easy to store and use. There is no need to install an anchor for it. Your fitness lover can just hang the straps over their door and close it. There are stoppers at different lengths that allow adjustments to be made for each exercise. I love that these are only $15. Your fitness lover can find a plethora of workout videos using the gravity trainer, and many tutorials on how to do exercises with it. All parts of the body can be worked, and it only takes a minute to set up. I highly recommend this product. Make your purchase here.
5) Kettle Gryp
This simple gadget turns any dumbbell your fitness lover owns into a kettlebell. The handle locks over the dumbbell, making it easy to grip. Rather than wasting storage space on a whole set of dumbbells, along with a whole set of kettlebells, you can purchase an adjustable dumbbell set and this. Boom. The equipment was made more versatile and the budget is still in tact. Pick this item up on Amazon for $35.
Shopping for a fitness lover does not have to be hard at all. Inquire about what equipment they already own and get a few ideas of what they would like to own. Being that gyms are becoming more restricted, it is important that you make your purchases soon, because a lot of at home equipment is beginning to sell out. If you are looking to build your own home gym on a budget, check out this blog post. This post lays out essential equipment for you or your fitness lover to own. If there is a certain thing you are looking for, or if you need a brand suggestion, reach out! I'd love to equip the fitness lover in your life with some quality gear so they can work off those holiday treats. No matter what December holiday you celebrate, I hope it is blessed. I hope you find yourself surrounded by the ones you love with full bellies creating memories you will cherish.
